Malaysian woman caught with drugs

Kuala Lumpur (dpa) – A Malaysian woman on her way to court to
answer a drug charge was caught with heroin hidden in her panties, a
news report said Thursday.

The 22-year-old woman was stopped at a road block on the way to
court in Terengganu state Tuesday, and taken to the police station
after officers noticed she had become “fidgety,” the New Straits
Times newspaper said.

An officer who conducted a body search on the suspect discovered a
vial of heroin, weighing 1 gram and valued at about 700 ringgit (218
dollars), tucked inside her underwear, the report said.

She told police the drugs were for her own consumption, adding
that she was heading to court in a nearby town for a drug abuse case.

The woman was detained and would be charged with drug possession,
police said.
