There’s a new lead in the hunt for the killers of Auckland couple Trevor Waite and Glenys Stanton – police are trying to trace a man living nearly 80 km north of the Papakura crime scene.

The man lives on a lifestyle block in sleepy Waimauku, northwest of Auckland and close to Muriwai Beach. He’s known to have guns on his property and is believed to be a former boyfriend of Ms Stanton’s.

The man has disappeared and a big police manhunt is now underway. He’s being treated as armed and dangerous.
