Casey Anthony, the US woman acquitted of killing her daughter, has agreed to pay $25,000 (USD) in a dispute over rights to her life story, court papers show.
The trustee in Anthony’s bankruptcy case had sought court permission to sell the rights to her life story to help pay off nearly $800,000 she owes others. Anthony’s attorneys opposed the move and the two sides worked out the $25,000 settlement, which must still be approved by the judge in her bankruptcy case, the Orlando Sentinel reported Monday.
The newspaper said it was unclear from last week’s court filing where Anthony would get the $25,000.
Anthony was found not guilty in the 2008 disappearance and death of her two-year-old daughter, Caylee, whose remains were found in a bag in a wooded area near her family’s home.
