Investigate magazine’s exclusive on the illegality behind the Natural Dairy bid for the Crafar farms last year has been followed this morning by criminal charges being laid against Chinese businessman Jack Chen and his offsider May Wang.
Wang has been charged with bribery by Hong Kong’s Independent Commission Against Corruption in relation to the Natural Dairy bid, while the ICAC has issued an arrest warrant for Chen after he failed to appear.
Investigate was the first media outlet to reveal possible criminality behind the Natural Dairy deal in June last year. The Serious Fraud Office and the ICAC commenced a joint investigation in September last year.
