Bangkok (dpa) – A helicopter filming a Thai television documentary crashed into the Chao Phraya River Saturday after hitting an electricity wire, slightly injuring four on board, police said.
The state-run National Broadcasting Television helicopter crashed in Nonthaburi province north of Bangkok about 10 am (0300 GMT).
The pilot and three reporters on board were rescued from the river by boats.
“The four people on board were only slightly injured,” said Pakkhet district Police Lieutenant Sutthipong Chaibamrung. “They said they were working on a feature.”
