Conservative Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum continues to give Mormon Mitt Romney headaches, winning Tennessee, Oklahoma and North Dakota, and holding a lead in the tightly contested Ohio count.
FOr his part, Romney cruised to easy wins in Vermont and Virginia, and of course his home state of Massachussetts.
Newt Gingrich, holding on by his fingernails, took his own home state of Georgia.
Under the Republican system, the first hopeful to scoop up 1144 delegates will become the presidential candidate. On current tallies, Romney has 273, Santorum 108 and Newt Gingrich just 62.
